3 Confidence Hacks You Should Try

I would like to focus on how I turned self-loathing into self-confidence.
Insecurities can come in many forms as small as the way your voice sounds when you speak to feeling like you’re not as smart as everyone else. Some are physical, but all are psychological.
Yes! Psychological means that you are able to change the what you believe and if not change then improve.
I did go to counseling to receive advice and feedback on what I could do to help improve how I was feeling. Some will need counseling or therapy as each individuals background and needs vary. I am in no way certified as even a life coach, but this is how I deal with my negative thoughts even today.
It won’t be easy, but the freedom you receive when you stop caring and start living your life is worth every second of the struggle.
FIRST: Radicalize the thought. Make it a positive truth.
Sounds counterintuitive? I know and its incredibly scary.
For me, instead of saying “I’m too short, no modeling company will ever work with me.”
I have changed it to “I’m short and petite, but that brings me different opportunities to create a dream by myself.” And here I am working on multiple college and clothing brand collaborations, ambassador programs, and attracting new opportunities.
And it started with saying, “I am worthy of the dreams I desire, because I am good enough”
Accept what you may see as flawed, and if you desire change, come from a place of self-love and care instead of self-hatred, punishment, and neglect. This comes from our thought patterns that if we do not get control over, may destroy us. I know negative and hopeless thought patterns held me captive for years. But now, I strive to keep my thoughts positive and look for a different way of viewing each circumstance.
SECOND: Recite and Repeat
Make sure you actually believe what you say. Reciting happy feel good affirmations is a good thing if you believe what you are saying. That comes with step one: the rationalization and acceptance of who you are and the knowledge that you can be as you choose and your life as well. Believing is more than achieving, believing is receiving.
By repeating affirmations about yourself daily, you will slowly begin to undo old thought patterns and transform your mind. I have done this, and I have achieved a new mindset. I still struggle because life is not perfect, but I still repeat.
Third: Live your beliefs
Unless you get out there and live what you love, practice what you preach, and achieve what you believe, you will never see the full potential of change. Try by reciting affirmations and then go out and act like you believe what you said. I know it will feel weird at first, but the more you act confident the more you will become! Try and do one or two things that get you out of your comfort zone each day. For me a great start was taking pictures in public. It was absolutely scary, but I had to repeat to myself that this is what I was repeating outload “I am choosing a non-conventional lifestyle by working with fashion.” And you don’t have to repeat it out loud, you can say it as loud as you want in your head. Besides speaking affirmations out loud, I chose to keep ignoring anyone driving by. Saying to myself, “No one cares, no one is watching, I am happy living my life. I owe an explanation to no one.”
And that’s pretty much how I achieve confidence every time. It’s not some big complicated or blown out of proportion concept. You have the absolute power to control and change what you believe and perceive yourself as and what you are capable of!
This took time, practice, trial and error. It didn’t happen overnight but I’m glad it didn’t. Through my experience with slowly becoming the person I am today, I have learned that no matter how scary, it’s always better to stay true to the person you are.
Thank you for reading and supprting me! I will have new college posts next time and I can’t wait to bring all of the new school content soon!
