Becoming a Boutique Brand Ambassador

My wonderful surprise to kick of 2021 is that I am officially a brand ambassador! I have hoped to work with brands and now I have a chance to finally be working on real collaborations this year!

E. Leigh's Boutique is a contemporary boutique with locations in Fayetteville, Conway, Lexington, and Little Rock. This incredibly successful boutique chain was founded by the entrepreneur, Erin Hohnbaum, who has built her small shop into a 7-figure female owned business!

I was honestly so shocked that I was accepted into the program and I am so grateful for this unexpected opportunity. Fashion is something I love and I am passionate about helping businesses grow through unique marketing opportunities.

So how did you become an E. Leighs Ambassador?

I was actually on E. Leighs email list for a couple months, before I saw an email from them offering their new ambassador program application process. Instantly intrigued by the fact that they had a store front in Little Rock, only an hour away from campus, so I went to their website and applied. Of course, I was hoping for the best, but I didn’t have a clue about whether or not I would be accepted! At the time I received my acceptance.

How did you find out you were chosen to become an Ambassador?

During finals week I received the email! I responded to my coordinator, signed up, shopped around, and within two days received my codes and link!

What does it mean to be an E. Leighs Ambassador?

Not only do you need a strong social media following and high engagement, but you must keep up with your social media presence too. You must be willing to promote the brand on your Instagram as your goal is to help grow E. Leighs sales online! They offer many perks for ambassadors and super cool opportunities! Remember that being a brand ambassador is all about the marketing from a modern advertising position of sale.

Is this a paid position with E. Leighs?

NO. This is not a job, this is more like a social internship with multiple unique opportunities focused on helping build a small business and creating revenue. What you learn and how you use this opportunity is completely up to you. If you are just interested in a quick discount and cute bio code, this is probably not what I suggest for you.

How do you plan on promoting this brand?

I wanted to be incredibly thoughtful about what I wanted to promote on my Instagram. Not only do I have to consider what my personal style is, but also two important points:

1. What do my followers want to see/are most likely to purchase?

2. What is within my budget AND timeless enough to wear through the following season/year(s) to come?

My followers want to see that the shoes are comfortable, stylish, can be worn a lot through the week, pieces that can be styled with a lot of outfits, and are re-wearable for future years. I plan to promote this brand by showing how you can wear multiple outfits with a piece. I think my followers will appreciate seeing cute outfits with this boutique!

What does it take to be an boutique ambassador?

It takes diligence, organization, and creativity! It means keeping up with emails, responding in a professional and timely manner, keeping track of your sales, coming up with great ideas to promote on Instagram, planning events and giveaways, and to stay on top of your brand growth and Instagram platform! I do all of this on top of running a blog, writing with the yearbook, being a full-time college student, being involved in a sorority and a few campus organizations, and keeping a personal social life.
